Formed in 1996, Ashton Keynes Village Choir is a choir for the community, made up of approximately 45 members, aged from 17 upwards who come from Ashton Keynes and the surrounding area.

We meet at the village school on a Tuesday evening from 7.30pm until 9.30pm during term time.

We are very much a mixed ability choir, some of our members read music and others learn by ear. For our more experienced singers there are always opportunities to sing in a small group or as a soloist.

Our aim is to include all, so no audition is necessary.

Usually we work towards two concerts a year, which we perform locally. We also take part in village community events such as the Ashton Keynes Music Festival, Beer and Carols in the pub and the occasional special church service.

Our repertoire is varied to suit all tastes and includes music from many different genres; classical, pop, folk, spirituals and musicals are just a few examples. As well as singing we also like to socialise and we hold regular social rehearsals where you get the opportunity to chat and of course an after concert party is a must.

Our ethos is to entertain, have fun and make friends.
